Why Does It Matter?

One of the things I ask all potential clients is, "why does getting in better shape or losing weight matter to you?"

Obvious answers are to look good, feel good, more energy, etc. But those are all defining characteristics of being in shape. So again why does being in better shape matter to you?

And it's surprising how often people have no idea why it really matters to them or why it's important to them. If they don't know why it matters, then how can they keep the habits up indefinitely? Why should they care about succeeding?

Sometimes you need to do a bit of soul searching first.
