Why Did You Even Start

Shortly after becoming a personal trainer, my sister passed away... If that never happened, I may have just become another generic trainer. There would not have been an All Out Effort. Nothing about our training may have been unique. It may have had the same science, but none of the compassion, the focus on the mental aspect, the camaraderie. Gimmicks may change from trainer to trainer but there was nothing unique going on in the industry and that could have very well been me.

Shortly after that, my father got ill. The passing of my sister was too much for him. We fought it for several years, but recently his health has been fading quickly and he had decided to stop all treatments a while ago. I am reminded now of why I even started all this. It further strengthens my resolve.

If you forgot why you even cared about health, getting fit, losing weight, feeling strong, look no further than your parents, your siblings, your spouse, your friends, your children. If you forget, let them be the reminder why you even started all this.

Whatever obstacles you think you may have that stops you from going after your goals, in the grand scheme of things, they were only hurdles.
