The amazing thing was, with all of our clients, especially our newest clients, we do most of this through just corrective exercises and making them move better. And we get into actual diet changes way later on, initially we just ask them to change some of their key habits and create more awareness of their behavior.
Instead of insane work outs, calorie counting, mental beatdowns and guilt trips, we do it systematically with a no nonsense adult approach.
Treat them like adults, help re-frame what's actually important about health, and tell them they can't see change without changing as a person, and things fall into place. Intuitively you already knew that's how it's supposed to work because that's how you've created all the other positive results in your life.
