Ways Stress Affects Your Body And Your Health

Your body just recognizes stress as strain. And whether it's from an emotional, mental, or physical source, it cannot tell the difference and will act accordingly.

From Wikipedia: "Stress is a person's response to a stressor such as an environmental condition or a stimulus. Stress is a body's way to react to a challenge. According to the stressful event, the body's way to respond to stress is by sympathetic nervous system activation which results in the fight-or-flight response. Stress typically describes a negative condition or a positive condition that can have an impact on a person's mental and physical well-being."

  1. Most people spend time being stressed over things that they have no control over. Yes, some things you could be legitimately be stressed about but if you can't fix the outcome, then you can't sweat it. However, if one chooses to stress out, then exercising is a great way to clear the mind and if nothing at all, allow an escape from the issue for about an hour or so.
